QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

WHAT DOES THE RIDE GUIDE QUEENSTOWN OFFER? Access to the best mountain biking Queenstown and Central Otago has to offer. Private guided trips, mtb lessons for all levels, bike shuttles for independent mountain bikers and bike taxi if you need transport with your bikes. If your group are all at different levels we'll make sure everyone has a great time. Our guides are skilled and trained in the case of an emergency. They carry emergency and first aid equipment as well as basic bike repair tools and supplies. We're open every day from September to May. (except xmas day)

DO YOU RENT BIKES? We provide high-quality full-suspension bike rental from local bike shops including e-bikes and range extenders. We can pick them up, drop them off and provide storage if required.  When you book a trip please add it to the cart and then go to the bike rental and add your bikes to the cart before checking out. Please give us as much notice as possible as bikes can sometimes be hard to find at short notice.

CAN YOU TAKE LARGE GROUPS? Looking for an action packed adventure with your group of friends? Check out the LARGE GROUPS page for prices and availability up to 12 people. Email us and we can start planning for any group size!

DO YOU DO MULTI-DAY TRIPS? Please get in touch if you're planning a multi-day trip. We can transport you and your bikes anywhere in the South Island. Multi-day trips based in Queenstown can include Skyline bike park, Glendhu and Cardrona bike parks, Alexandra, shuttles of Coronet Peak and many more lesser-known trails. We can even include heli-biking and advise on great bike-friendly accommodation options in Queenstown.​

WHAT DO TRIPS COST? All prices are in New Zealand Dollars and include GST 15%. Prices vary depending on the size of your group. Choose a trip and click on PRICES & AVAILABILITY to see the price per person. Please check the BIKE RENTAL page for prices of bikes. We have a great selection. Choose an ULTIMATE PACKAGE for all inclusive - guided trip, bike, food, packs and water bottles.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY? If we have to cancel due to weather you'll get a full 100% refund. If you have to cancel you'll get a full refund less 3% bank fees until 10 days prior to the trip. Between 3 days and 10 days, a cancellation fee of 25% will apply. There are no refunds within 3 days of your trip.

DO I HAVE TO BE A VERY GOOD RIDER? We pride ourselves on offering mountain bike adventures for riders of all levels. Use our handy link to rate your skills and let us know your level when you book your trip.

DO YOU HAVE ANY JOBS THIS SEASON? We have casual contracts available this season. All our guides must have the following qualifications: PHEC medical certificate & NZQA Level 5 Mountain bike guiding qualification or equivalent. Passenger class drivers licence with 2 years NZ drivers licence is required to drive our shuttles and bike taxi service.
